A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila: Tila Responds to the Rumors

Currently, the competition is on a tight race as the finale of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila is set to air on December 18, the day Tila needs to choose between Bobby and Dani.
As for Tila’s rather intense response to the rumors, she posted a lengthy statement on her MySpace page.
“I find it absolutely absurd that they would even make such an ignorant statement such as ‘She’s made out with some girls in her past, as all girls have, but she is not bi at all’…That is such an absurd stereotype to place on all women and it just shows people how ignorant people can be!”
Addressing the rumor head on, she said, “[Y]ou can tell the “source” was lying was because how they talk about me so called having a boyfriend and they said ‘He’s like….5 years older then her’ Just look at the way they talk about it.”
Aside from that, she also responds to previous issues regarding her suddenly becoming all diva-ish and showing up late to tapings of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.
“[H]ow could I always be “late” when I could never leave on the first place???” Tila posted, rather upset with all three exclamation points. “We filmed at MY reality house so that means that I lived in the house with everyone else. I was never allowed to leave….ever…not even to meet up with friends for lunch! That’s the way it worked. The producers wanted the contestants and I to be really engaged in each other so they thought it would be best that I never leave or have contact with the outside world!”
Moreover, she claimed that the rumors about her not talking to the contestants between takes were just plain wrong. She pointed out that there were no “takes” as it was a reality show and the producers and directors were just continuously filming them. She added that the fights and tears were all real, and there were no “re-takes” regarding those scenes. Lastly, she ended by saying that she has been judged many times all throughout her life, and this is not an issue that will move her in any way.

The 10 Choicest Cocktails in America

Cocktails are a favorite in nightclubs, bars and cocktail lounges all over the United States. They’re generally the first choice of both men and women desiring a drink and bartenders have to make them many times during the day.
Martini, Manhattan, Tequila Sunrise, Margarita, belong to the list of 10 most popular cocktails in US bars and nightclubs, together with Long Island Iced Tea, Cosmopolitan, The Mint Julep, Daquiri, Mojito, and Piña Colada.
Have a look at these cocktails and select your choice.
Martini is one of the finest of all classic cocktails and everyone would agree that it’s a time-honored favorite. It’s one drink that offers you lots of choices from chocolate Martini to Apple Martini. A Martini can be prepared in different styles such as you can put a little vermouth or none at all, you can either shake or mix it and you can top it with a lime or olive.
Manhattan is one of the aged cocktails and its fame continued throughout the years. It’s typically preferred before dinner and goes well with gourmet food like the Tuna Nicoise. The Manhattan was the very first cocktail that had vermouth as a modifier. Bartenders get asked to create Manhattan again and again.
The Tequila Sunrise is labeled for the way it appears in a glass – the solid parts of orange and grenadine drop thus producing nice color changes like that of a sunrise. The grenadine is the element that intensifies the sweet taste of this cocktail and as you draw close to finishing your drink, the sweetness becomes more obvious.
Margarita is standing tall as North America’s one of the most desired cocktail drinks. It’s a revitalizing, tequila based drink blended with Cointreau. You can vary the way you prepare margarita as it can be mixed with fresh tropical fruits or served frozen, on the rocks or with sugar or salt on your glass’s brim.
Long Island Iced Tea is an ageless highball drink that should be imbibed bit by bit and savored for an extended time. Robert Butt, a bartender from Long Island served the first concoction of this kind. Long Island Iced Tea is made up of little amount of tequila, vodka, gin, rum, triple sec plus soda to add in color.
Cosmopolitan is created by combining citrus juice, vodka, Cointreau (sweetener) and a little cranberry juice to produce a light red color and enhance sourness. As Carrie Bradshaw’s chosen drink during much of the show, Sex and the City, the Cosmo has grown to be one of the most liked cocktails in lounges and parties.
The Mint Julep’s recognition originated from Virginia, USA where numerous mint leaves are blended with a little amount of water and sugar to release the mint flavor and then added to Bourbon and ice. You can avail of several assortments of this cocktail that has become a part of the menu of many American bars.
The Daiquiri is a tropical drink that’s produced by blending light Rum, sugar syrup and fresh fruits. It’s believed to stem from Cuba in 1800’s and was intended as a treatment for malaria. Now it’s a favorite of many thanks to writer Ernest Hemingway who turned daiquiri into becoming popular all over the world.
Mojito is a tropical cocktail that’s Rum based too. It made its way to become one the most famous drinks throughout the country. Mojito is Hemmingway’s preferred drink next to the Daquiri. For a great tasting Mojito, opt for the finest rum such as Mount Gay.
Piña Colada is another sweet-tasting drink and one of the creamiest. Made with pineapple juice, coco cream and light rum, Piña coladas are normally served either shaken with crushed ice or blended. Many individuals have heard and have actually tasted this cocktail. Rupert Holmes made Piña colada well-known through his song Escape (The Pina Colada song).
Alcoholic Drinking Games for School and Play

Its All in Good Fun
Face it, the name of the game in alcoholic drinking games is to get the other person inebriated. Sure your going to catch a buzz too, but the object is to get the other guy blowing chunks not you. Also, if you are a fat ugly guy, you know that the only chance you have for scoring with the little cutie across the room is if you can get 9 or ten shots past her luscious, pink lips.
Take Your Time and Have Fun
Step one, is to have you and a bud begin a nice friendly game of quarters at the coffee table. Fill the shot or beer glass low, so neither of you suffer too much damage when you lose. Take your time, make it look fun and each of you should thoroughly enjoy the drinks that you have to chug when you lose.
Drunk Girls Are Oh So Friendly
Step two, is to invite another couple of buds to join in on the fun and if some girls wish to join in, thats just icing on the cake. Make it fun and light with small easy to take drinks of beer, or shots of booze. Your strategy is to get everyone playing and then the fun begins. The idea is to get the girls drunk, particularly little miss luscious lips.
Its Nap Time
Fill the drink or shot glasses to the top and then you and your buds who have all had plenty of practice at the game, now win time after time and pick the same few chicks to chug. If the game is played right, it won’t be long and you will be heading down the hall with the that little cutie, headed straight for your bedroom to tuck her in for the night.
Drinking Games

As for tonight, you are still a single, wild, and free being. An example of free-flowing, unfiltered life itself! There is going to be some drinking done, and you feel that it should be taken very seriously, so seriously in fact, that you are going to have to invite your friends over to take it all very seriously with you. There must be rules though. Order must be upheld. Use our stag drinking games guide to maximize the fun content of your party night and engage in some awesomely amusing and mind-warping drinking games.
Let me tell you that in my world, there isn’t any thing funny about drinking; every “game” you might find me engaged in would be what we shall call “Mind Smashers”. The criteria for this elusive title are thus:
One or more players will forfeit without vomiting within the first thirty minutes of game play; they will not choose to continue due to a lack of personal courage. They lack a true party attitude and should be asked to immediately leave the gaming area. Shame awaits their very existence.
Some champion-hearted sportsman will in fact puke within the first forty-five minutes of play; a sad yet beautiful example of true guts.
A good time for all competitors.
One of my personal favourite Mind Smashers is a game simply entitled: “I Drink. You Drink”. Gameplay is kept minimally vexing in the following manner:
Competitor One drinks a hearty, full shot of whatever intoxicating beverage has been chosen.
Competitors Two, Three, and so on repeat Competitor One’s action until all competitors have performed adequately.
Competitor One again takes a full, brain-twisting shot of booze, and the process repeats until only one lone liquid warrior is left at the warring zone: The victor. This gladiator prevails, not only in the game, but in life itself.
One of my other favourite stag drinking games is about endurance. And balance. So the story goes, nobody has ever won, lost or drawn. The rules are simple:
The drinker approaches the bar and orders a shot
The drinker pays for the drink with too much money (i.e. hand over a tenner for the one drink)
As the barman goes away to get change, the drinker downs the shot.
When the barman returns with your change, return to step 1
The game has a number of possible outcomes:
Drinker falls over (Result: Bar wins)
Barman punches drinker’s lights out (Result: Draw)
Drinker gets thrown out (Result: Draw)
Bar closes (Result: Drinker wins!)
There are literally thousands of such games, some far more refined than these. You need to remember that I am a professional with many years of fierce competition under my (extended) belt. All is fair in the love of drinking, and you are allowed to spontaneously create your own drinking games any time you like. You make the rules. You choose the buzz level. You are in charge. At least for one more night.

You did it! You finally built your home bar. But now comes the time to decide what to keep on hand so that you will be known as the perfect amateur bartender. If money is no object, simply go the nearest liquor store and buy one of everything. This option is not only expensive, but you would probably end up with more bottles than space to store them. A more sensible solution would be to pick and choose a selection of liquors, non-alcoholic beverages, tools and equipments and little extras to really impress your guests.
Liquors
• Gin
• Vodka
• Rum (light and dark)
• Whiskey
• Bourbon
• Rye
• Scotch

• Champagne or sparkling wine
• Vermouth
• Beer

• Kalua (coffee)
• Sambuca (anise)

A few handy tools are necessary even for the new bartender. A well-stocked bar is more than just the bottles you have on hand. The right tools, displayed on your countertop will go a long way in impressing your guests and will also help making drinks that look like they were made by at professional bartender.
• Shakers
One of the first bar tools that you will need is a decent shaker. They are useful for building drinks, mixing them properly and transferring them into glasses not to mention they make a good show for your guests. Shakers come in two types: 1) Conventional ones with a cap and a built-in strainer and; 2) Boston shaker which is a large mixing glass with a scale in centiliters and ounces. You will need a strainer to go with the Boston shaker.
• Electric Blender
Anyone who likes margaritas, daiquiris and pina coladas needs an electric blender. Aim for a smaller model that will take as much space on your bar.
• Measuring devices
Jiggers and measuring spoons will help you make consistent drinks every time. It also prevents you from being to heavy handed on the booze. Remember that goal is to create a great tasting drink and not to get everyone drunk.
• Muddler
A muddler is a thick stick made out of wood or stainless steel that is used to mash ingredients such as fruits, sugar or mint into a glass when you just want to infuse the flavors into the drink without blending it to a pulp..
• Corkscrew and bottle opener
• Cutting board
• Citrus juicer
• Ice bucket and ice tongs
Now that you know what to keep in your bar, all you need to learn is how to make great drinks your friends will love. There are numerous books available on the market from beginner bar setups all the way to experts and drink you never knew existed.. Buy one or two and have fun experimenting. Cheers!
Marijuana might be good for you

If someone passed me a bowl (pipe) loaded with marijuana with one hand and handed me a shot of vodka in the other then asked me to drive them home, I would prolly smoke the bowl. If you are or were a smoker of the Mary j. you would understand where im coming from.
alcohol may be legal but when it comes down to it marijuana is safer. Yea, yea call it a gateway drug that may or may not lead the user to try harder and more dangerous drugs, but in my opinion the only reason it may be a gateway drug is because its illegal. People tend to have a rebelious nature and when they try something that they’ve been told is so bad, and they come to the realization that it isn’t as bad as everyone made it out to be they tend to dive deeper and deeper into the abyss of the world of harder narcotics (believe me I know).
One thing that i just think is plain ignorant is the fact that the government allows a substance to be on the market(alcohol) that can kill when the user consumes so much according to body weight ect. YOU HAVE TO SMOKE 15,000 lbs.
TO DIE FROM MARIJUANA PEOPLE, and thats impossible. Oh and if you are thinking,”Well marijuana impairs your judgment when you drive.” Well i say
to those, take a couple of shots one night and drive around the block, then grab a little bit o weed out of your kids stash roll one up and you will see that the effects of marijuana are way more subtle and less dizzying than the effects of alcohol. So people, if you really think weed is so bad why don’t you put down your booze and prescription pills, look at yourself in the mirror and then look at someone that you know who just smokes the reefer and you tell me who the real drug addict is. Because i know that alcohol gets you way more messed up than marijuana.
I know ive done it all and i have come to the realization that a joint is better than a bump or a line, or even a couple shots, when it comes to mind body and soul

Binge-drinking the Norm for Young Women Students

TD CLASS=”main”>“A culture of intoxication” has taken hold in the UK, with binge-drinking now the norm, according to research carried out in Manchester which shows there is no longer a gender difference between men and women when it comes to deciding to get drunk.
Criminologist Dr Fiona Measham and her team from Lancaster University carried out a survey of 351 people with an average age of 25 in Manchester city centre’s pubs and clubs. She said that people were going out with the express aim of getting drunk.
“There’s a new culture of intoxication in relation to alcohol and illegal drugs in this country. People are going out to get drunk and it’s this determined drunkenness which is now the norm.
“What they drink – shots, alcopops and cocktails – has changed so you can drink quicker and faster. The strength of some wines and beers has also gone up by 50 per cent in the last 10 years and we’ve moved from the spit and sawdust pub to one where it’s chrome and cocktail bars so they are pleasant environments for women and professional groups.”
Her research revealed that there was no longer a gender difference between men and women when it came to deciding to get drunk.
“The research confirmed an apparently deliberate and determined drunkenness with no statistically significant gender or age difference in their desired level of intoxication.”
When interviewed, the women had drunk an average of 5.7 units of alcohol and the men 9.6 units – enough to classify them as a “binge-drinker” according to the UK definition of 6 units for women and 8 for men.
With the real price of alcohol cheaper than in the 1970s and more liberal licensing laws, Dr Measham said people are drinking more than ever.
“The consequences of a decade of increased sessional consumption of alcohol are evident in increased admissions to accident and emergency units, facial injuries, liver disease, alcohol-related arrests, and in the notable increase in young women involved in these incidents of alcohol-related violence, disorder, injury and harm.”
When asked how drunk they felt on a scale of 1 to 5, both men and women rated themselves at 1.8 early in the evening but both sexes aimed to achieve a rating of 3.8 out of 5 by the end of the night.
“We thought they would all aim to be 5 out of 5 at the end of the night but they showed a controlled state of drunkenness, what I call a controlled loss of control.
“They would have strategies to get home safely and make sure they had enough money.”
She said that an increasingly consumer society, with its sophisticated marketing, is to blame for binge-drinking along with the deregulation of the licensing laws.
“Increased sessional consumption of alcohol across the last 10 years must be understood within the context of a burgeoning night-time economy which facilitates and promotes consumer excess and intoxication.”
Dr Measham is a nationally renowned researcher with over 15 years’ experience in the field of drug and alcohol use.
She has contributed articles on government policy on alcohol to the International Journal of Drug Policy and at the annual conference of the British Criminology Society.
