I have to say I believe that the board games are more entertaining. You can play these with friends and family and can really create quite the gathering. This gives you quality time together that you wouldn’t have with the video games that only one or two can play. Board games and card games can allow more to play and more time for conversation, small talk, etc. Even the board games online give more benefits. YOu get the option to meet new people or chat with former opponents or team mates. What a wonderful way to stay in touch and do something you enjoy. There are board games of all interests and styles making it easy to find something you would enjoy and others can enjoy with you. For a parent it is a wonderful way to spend time with your children and keep them out of trouble. My kids are still young yet we are already spending evenings together playing a board game and talking about school and friends. We have made this bond with them young enough that they hopefully will continue to look forward to our evenings together to have that special family time around a game of their choice. What a wonderful way to bond with kids and stay in touch with them and their lives. Don’t miss out on their lives by engrossing yourself in a video game or letting them do so. Take the time to spend with them or others. Share your day or just gossip about things going on around. This also gives you the time to use the restroom, get a drink, or just move without having to pause a game or loose your spot or get interrupted by talking to someone else. Video games make it hard to communicate with others while playing and practically impossible to carry on a good conversation. Board games also are very good in teaching things to younger kids. They can learn to count by rolling a dice and counting dots, or counting the squares around the board. It can teach them to recognize numbers or words on cards. They learn to share and take turns and that it isn’t all about winning. There are multiple benefits to the board games that aren’t available on a video game.
